LIFEGUARD


Qualifications:


Must be 16+ years old

Candidate will possess current certifications in YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent, CPR Pro, First Aid, AED and Oxygen Administration. (These certifications can be obtained at the YMCA for a fee.)

SWIM LESSON INSTRUCTOR


Qualifications:


Must be 16+ years old

Candidate must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards. Must possess current certifications in CPR, First Aid and Universal Precautions. (These certifications can be obtained at the YMCA for a fee.)





SWIM TEAM COACH


Qualifications:


Must be 18+ years old

Candidate will possess current certifications in CPR Pro, AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, and Universal Precautions. Principles of Y-Competitive Swimming along with Lifeguard, Red Cross Safety Training for Coaches or YASA certification are required. Candidate must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with Y standards and complete YMCA swim lesson instructor course within 180 days of employment. (These certifications can be obtained at the YMCA for a fee.)







LICENSED CHILD CARE COUNSELOR


Qualifications:


High School Diploma or Equivalent

Must be 18+ years old

Candidate will tend to the needs of children in the program following the YMCA guidelines and correction methods. Candidate will express an enjoyment of working with children as well as an interest in teaching and nurturing within the guidelines set by the YMCA.







FITNESS INSTRUCTOR


Must be 18+ years old

Possession of a recognized YMCA or National fitness class instructor certification is preferred. Candidate should possess knowledge of current fitness and exercise trends, fitness class design, choreography and human physiology.






YOUTH SPORT OFFICIAL


Qualifications:


Must be 16+ years old

Candidate is responsible for officiating games in a manner consistent with the parameters established by the YMCA. A sincere interest and enjoyment in working with and teaching youth the principles of this sport, as well as Christian values, must be shown.
